What the tie back does for fit

A tie back top closes with a knot at the nape instead of a fixed clasp or a set band. The adjustment is continuous — the tension of the knot is the fit, and it moves with you through the day. That is why the tie back is the most common top closure in the store.

The pool runs 250+ styles, about $19 to $53 — the solid triangle strings, the ribbed tie strings, the leopard push up underwire, the petal thong and the sheer g string builds all close with the nape knot.

How the tie back pool breaks down

Classic solid triangle strings at the standard nape knot
Ribbed tie string builds with the textured panel
Underwire and push up tops that tie at the back over the wire channel
Micro and sheer versions of the same closure
Petal and g string details on the tied back sets

Fitting the tie back to your wear

The knot tension is the fit — start where the band sits level at the back, not pulled up
Higher knot for more panel under the bust line, lower for the classic triangle
For active swim, a firmer knot holds; for the day, a relaxed knot is easier
Tie the ends in a double knot if you plan to be in the water a long time

Caring for tie back swimwear

Rinse the tie strings after the water — the string thins before the fabric does
Dry with the ties loose, not knotted hard; the knot crease marks the string
Check the string length after a season; a worn tie can be re knotted shorter
Store the set with the ties laid out, not wound around the body of the top

Frequently asked questions

How do I tie a tie back top for the right fit?

Knot at the nape where the band sits level across your back. Adjust the tension to your preference — firmer holds in active water, relaxed suits the day — and the double knot keeps it set.

How many tie back styles are in the store?

250+ styles, about $19 to $53 — the tie back is the standard closure on most of the store's triangle and micro builds.

Do the tie strings break over time?

Strings wear before they snap — they thin at the knot point with use. Rinse after the water, dry them loose, and re knot shorter when the string wears down.

Is a tie back top secure enough for swimming?

A firm double knot at the nape holds through normal swim. For strong surf or active water, a fixed band or an underwire build with a back closure is the more secure choice.
